Manual mixer shower by Mira

The Mira Gem 88 is a new manual mixer shower to replace the popular Mira 88 shower.

 

Mira has introduced a bold new look, with a full chrome model available.

What the codes mean....

B-bir (Built-in Rigid)

Built-in shower control for connection to concealed pipework. 

Gem 88 supplied complete with a Mira Response built-in shower head offering different spray patterns (Start, Soothe and Force).

B-biv (Built-in Variable)

Built-in shower control for connection to concealed pipework. 

Gem 88 supplied complete with a Mira Response adjustable spray handset offering different spray patterns (Start, Soothe and Force), hose, clamp bracket, soap dish, slide bar, outlet elbow and hose retaining ring/gel hook.

ev (Exposed Variable)

Surface mounted shower control for connection to exposed pipework or rear entry.

Gem 88 supplied complete with a Mira Response adjustable spray handset offering different spray patterns (Start, Soothe and Force), hose, clamp bracket, soap dish, slide bar and hose retaining ring/gel hook.
 

NOTE

Mira Gem 88 is suitable for both high and low pressure systems with nominally equal water inlet pressures but SHOULD NOT be fitted with Combination Boilers.

Temperature: Maintenance and care:
  • Manual (non-thermostatic) control
  • Maximum hot water temperature: 85 degrees
  • Maintenance should be carried out in accordance with the information published in the installation and user guide, supplied with each product. This guide should be retained by the user for further reference
  • Conveniently situated isolating valves must be fitted in the supply pipework to allow complete maintenance of the product
  • In-line strainers should be fitted to both inlet supplies unless the water supplies are guaranteed to be clean
Pressure: Accessories:
  • Minimum maintained pressure: 0.1 bar
  • Maximum Maintained pressure: 5.0 bar
  • Maximum static pressure: 10 bar
  • Optional DCV-H; outlet double check valve is available for use with pressure above 0.2 bar, providing an alternative method of complying with water regulations
Installation: Guarantee:
  • The plumbing installation must comply with the requirements of UK Water regulations/Bylaws (Scotland). Building regulations or any particular regulations and practices, specified by the local water company or water undertakers. The installation should be carried out by a plumber or contractor who is registered, or is a member of an association
  • Protect the product from damage whilst making soldered connections. Some fluxes can cause damage to plastic componants.
  • All Mira Products include filtration to protect products against water debris.
  • During installation all pipework should be fully flushed
  • Guaranteed for one year from purchase against faulty materials or workmanship
  • Optional extended guarantee available
