Shower Pods

The leak-free solution to installing a shower in your home

Leaks are the bane of traditional shower enclosures. If you haven't experienced leaks yourself you won't have to go far to find somebody who has!

What we often overlook is the fact that buildings move. Your home is a living breathing thing that swells and contracts with temperature. Imagine your traditional shower enclosure. It comprises numerous components each made from different material. Individual materials will swell or shrink with temperature at a different rate. Therefore, you have quite a job on your hands when it comes to sealing them all together in an attempt to prevent leaks. In time, no matter how good you are with silicone sealant, with everything moving at different rates leaks are inevitable. Then there is the adhesive and grout - this eventually becomes permeable with age.

In short, no matter how good a tradesman or DIY'er you are on what is in effect an impossible mission. Leaks are just about inevitable on a conventional shower.

One of the problems when a shower leaks is the route by which the water has been escaping is not always obvious. This makes it difficult to find and repair. Another problem is you, the homeowner, will only find out you have a leak when a damp patch appears. Damp patches don't appear quickly, they are usually the product of leak that has been in existence for much longer .

Yet another issue with a leak is mildew. In some of the worse cases the leak remains out of sight and undetected. Over a period the damp conditions created by the leak become the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. Before you know it you may have rot to deal with. Then of course there is the smell. As mildew prospers the smell increases. If you can't see you have a leak this can be a frustrating and smelly mystery.

Simple logic has come to the rescue. Shower Pods now offer a solution to the inevitable leaky shower enclosure. When installed a shower pod (also known as a leak-free cubicle) leaves nowhere for water to escape. Problem solved.

The other advantage of a shower pod is the ease with which they can be installed. Instead of days we can now talk in terms of hours. They are delightfully simple to install and available in various shapes and sizes to size most tastes.

Take a look through the various models we supply. If you have any questions about the product or installation please don't hesitate to call and speak with one of our helpful staff. We are always pleased to speak with you.
