Five models in the range are Continuous Feed (45, 55,
65, Evolution 100 and Evolution 200). These allow a stream of food waste to
be fed into the disposer as it operates. The appliance
can be operated using a wall-mount fused switch, or with
an ‘air switch’ button mounted conveniently on the work
surface.
The Evolution 100 & 200 models can be converted to Batch
Feed operation, working in a slightly different way: the chamber is
first filled with food waste, and then closed with a
special sink plug. Turning the plug switches on the
mechanism, grinding up the food waste a batch at a time.
This method of operation ensures nothing (including
fingers) can reach the macerator when in operation. It
also ensures that nothing can accidentally fall into the
unit when in operation (such as cutlery which may be
hidden amongst food stuffs.
